I used thorps theory in Nevada and won. I found I had to sit in last position, but I was able to count sucessfully. I learned his theory when he first came out with it before almost anyone.

I was playing a lot of poker, mostly low ball and bridge in san jose california at the time.

"You have to bet on the total run, not on the event by event outcome." So, you suffer from Gambler's Fallacy. I recommend reading Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E Frankl, the story of finding meaning in life in the face of unchangeable suffering, which is what you'll have if you don't cure your Gambler's Fallacy :-)
