So maybe you will get your way cnyndwllr....the troops should come home IMMEDIATELY, the very instant the Congress defunds them by tying the Presidents hands on when the money can be spent.

YOU and YOURS will be responsible totally if this country is hit with a terrorist attack, either Nuke, or Bio Weapon.

Change out of those wet pants and take a deep breath.

OK, can you think now?

Good.

How do you think the Americans and the British have been stopping terrorist plots since 9/11?

How do you think they could have stopped the attack on 9/11?

Another clue?

OK, law enforcement and intelligence activities.

Now, how much are we spending there and how much are we spending in Iraq every month?

Getting a glimmer of an idea?

NO???

Well you should. Ed

what did we win ?
EDIT : We go in with our might, and demolish a country the size of California, and we call it victory ? Why aren't we hearing Iraqis saying we helped them become victorious ?

Don't tell therm the truth, KLP. They can't handle it. You can bet as soon as we have another attack AFTER pulling out of Iraq, they'll invent a reason it was GWB's fault. Isolation was very popular before WW2. Pearl Harbor ended that. I'm not sure this generation of crybabies has the steel of their grandfathers, though.

You are so totally and completely full of crap, not that that isn't inevitable given your devotion to W the war president and his curiously self - serving definition of "personal responsibility", where the buck is guaranteed to stop far far away. At least if you listen to official administration propaganda , which is what you seem first and foremost dedicated to.

Eric Shinseki had a pretty clear idea how many troops it would take to control Iraq, before W "accomplished his mission". W and co. crapped all over him for his trouble. Now all W's faithful suckups are claiming that anybody who doesn't show complete faith and devotion to the never-mistaken war president is responsible for anything bad that might happen in the future. That's "personal responsibility" for you again. One might thing that all the W suckups who couldn't wait for him to get his war on in Iraq might be a little circumspect about making more ridiculous pronouncements at this late stage of the game, but one would obviously be wrong in that thought.
