Look on SI Advanced Search, and see both the Media and some of the folks here have HATED GWB since at least 1999.... Even in the days of very harsh criticism for Clinton, we didn't see the hate spew forth in any way like GWB has engendered....for no reason, other than he is a decent and kind man. Plus the ONLY one of our Presidents who was ever smart enough to get a MBA.... from Yale, yet. Agree about the steel of our Grandparents and Parents...They not only had to cope with a Depression, but WWII on top of it. For instance, the day we were struck by Japan in Pearl Harbor, we had 130,000 some people in our entire military force. By the end of the war, we had over 16.3 MILLION people under arms. To say nothing of the sacrifices all citizens underwent to rid the earth of Hitler, and the Japanese Imperialism. Those on the homefront worked at least 2 and sometimes 3 shifts in a row to build the necessary weapons, clothing, supplies, ships, etc that were needed. Most of the people of today are so narcissistic they can hardly bestir themselves out of their latte-induced fog to even read and discuss anything about the world situation, and the US situation we have faced really, since 1979 when the Muslims of Iran kidnapped our Embassy staff. Murtha, Pelosi, Durbin, Dean, Kerry, Gore, Kennedy, Reid, Schumer, and assorted lowlifes are the Democrat Party of today. I can -- not -- imagine -- that -- the -- Grand -- Old -- Democratic -- Party -- will stand still for these know-not-muches to continue to hijack their party.

I'm not sure this generation of crybabies has the steel of their grandfathers, though. Like the "steel" of Cheney during the Vietnam War who is now a grandfather? Give me an estimate. What percentage of Islamic fundamentalists terrorists are in Iraq? Still got your plastic sheeting and duct tape? Or did you use it all up making containers to continue your hobby of water boarding cats? A simple Yes or No will suffice. Have you realigned your thinking with the notion that a deal could be made with President Kim that he would actually keep? That's the latest fairy tale of Bush and Condi.
