I really like your post, Michael. To me, it represents a mid-ground way of thinking that both side of the aisle can gravitate toward. There really are so many important issues that right and left could coalesce around. And the Bush admin. has done a good job to tamp down anti-muslim sentiment, imo.

From the beginning, Bush referenced the terrorists as those who would 'hijack Islam'.

Now from my vantage point out here in the heartland, if I saw a man in a coat during warm weather, I would first think he was going to flash me....<g>
