Almost all AID's, [other than from needles,] in this country comes from anal sex by Gays. Let's face it. Here, it's a venereal disease. In this country a middle class white woman is almost more in danger of being struck by lightning. The myth of heterosexual AIDS has been spread by Gays to try to get more Federal funds and to take the onus off of them. exactly. as a white "middle class" (debatable) woman, i have almost a ZERO concern about contracting aids....as you state, it's basically a venereal disease the politicalization of HIV/AIDS has been nothing more than as you say, a FED Funds grab.... that said, i do find magic johnson's case fascinating...apparently the aids cocktail has helped him to stay remarkably healthy to the extent that he's had to caution young people that indiscriminate sexual behavior still carries with it potentially severe medical consequences, despite his relatively robust appearance having carried the HIV virus for some 10 plus years

the stats are here cdc.gov Transmission Category Estimated # of AIDS Cases, in 2005 Adult and Adolescent Male Adult and Adolescent Female Total Male-to-male sexual contact 18,939 - 18,939 Injection Drug Use 5,806 3,179 8,985 Male-to-male sexual contact and injection drug use 2,190 - 2,190 High-risk heterosexual contact* 5,208 8,278 13,486 Other** 287 253 540 Well that looks crappy. Basically it says that new cases of aids in 2005 for gay men were 18,939 For heterosexuals it was 5,208 males and adolescent males and 8,278 women for a total of 13,486. it is much prettier on the chart. In 1981 in North America it was mostly Gay males. It is still predominantly gay males but the difference between 18,939 gay males and 13,486 heterosexuals is nothing to brag about.
