Yes, I used to use that technique, until we started giving them dry food. Guess I could rattle the bag and see if that works.

Haven't gone to attic yet to see if she is up there, but the middle cat has been rattling the door to the attic, so she might well be there. She doesn't like to be any where close to the other two cats, and they don't go up there that often. I have a wicker side table that is covered up there and that is where I have found her sleeping before. She does usually come down to eat and use the litter box, but most of the time that is when we are sleeping and she has the run of the house as the other two are on our bed with us at night. We know she is inside the house, just a matter of time until she wants to show herself.
