I'm not sure beheading wasn't as common even in the past, but killing and torture did happen so I get your point. OTOH the Medieval Inquisition ended in the 1200s, and while the Spanish Inquisition started later and lasted much longer its been over for hundreds of years.

You do know that during the fighting in N. Ireland, antagonists use nail guns to shoot nails into the knees of their enemy, crippling them for life. And they would do the same to their own if that person refused to join the fight.

Muslims don't have the lock on extreme cruelty.........its part of the human condition.
