I don't know what the Tibetans would want, but even if they did want us to invade, that doesn't mean the Iraqis would. For many people in the ME we are an imperialist "Christian" country and they have very interesting ideas about us, that may or may not conform to reality as we understand it, but are reality for people in the ME. Your Tibetan example makes me think you are ignoring all these conceptions the folks in the ME have of the US- and that's a problem for your POV, imo.

I think the Dalai Lama is waiting for non-violence to work. It is true, as he says, that non-violence takes a long time.

But it appears that the Tibetan Government in Exile remains active and has a positive attitude. They are attempting to negotiate with the Chinese, and asking the world to ask their representatives to ask the Chinese to negotiate.
