Much of the mess in that area of the world is attributable to two things: oil and Israel. The USA has problems aplenty at home. We need to get out of the fighting-for-oil-and-Israel business.

You really are a dim bulb, aren't you?

Name a single military engagement we have fought in Israel's behalf.

We fought the Gulf War in 1991 to oust Saddam from Kuwait and to keep him from taking over Saudi Arabia, both of which were quite worthwhile goals.

Just out of curiosity, can you describe anything about that area of the world during the latter stages of the Ottoman Empire, before oil was discovered or Israel was founded?
