Nadine, your information is completely incorrect. You are simply stating your opinion.

Without spending time going back over the entire affair, I will give you what I remember:

1. Niger's yellowcake is governed by an international consortium headed by the French. It just can't move yellowcake whenever and wherever it feels like.

2. In order to mine, sell and move the large amount of yellowcake stated, Niger would have had to up its industrial output and receive much investment to do so.

The entire point is that you do not put this kind of accusation into the SOTU unless you are trying to frighten people into a war of choice based on a pack of lies. When you do this kind of thing your credibility goes to zero for those who are paying attention.

The CIA behaved completely unprofessionally from the start. Unless you view the whole endeavor as laying a trap for the White House. In that case, it worked pretty well. Would that the CIA could be as effective against our enemies.

And now, the smear campaign that won't die is followed by the conspiracy theory that won't die. I can't decide which is more absurd, all the Iran warmongering or your new pet conspiracy. Makes me almost nostalgic for swiftvets crap, noxious and voluminous as that was, it at least ended with the election.

Yeah, this is something that seldom gets discussed in this whole Plame affair. If Iraq had actually tried to buy yellowcake from Niger, how was Joe supposed to find out about it during his investigative visit?

Hi, I'm Joe. Have you seen any Iraqis trying to buy yellowcake in the past year or so? C'mon, tell me the truth...
