>Using that logic you would have doubted that black descendants of slaves cannot exist peacefully with descendants of slave owners in America, but they do.

It took what, five generations for that to begin happening in earnest?

And if the Palestinians win an election do you think the government they would elect, even in 20 years, would treat Israelis equally?

No. It will be revenge time. Any chance of reconciliation between the two is long gone.

Using that logic you would have doubted that black descendants of slaves cannot exist peacefully with descendants of slave owners in America, but they do.

Frankly, I don't think the two situations are the same. I don't think the slaves or their descendants ever developed the level of animosity towards whites that exist between Israelis and Palestinians. There was anger and hatred but IMO it doesn't compare to what we see in Palestine. I think in part that's due to the peculiar relationship between a slave and its owners.

I hope I am wrong........I would like nothing better than to see the Israelis and Palestinians co-exist peacefully. I just don't think its going to happen.......not for a long time at least.
