Oooooooooo, "slimy", is it? Boy, does that make me eager to talk with you about holy things. Did you read Matthew 7:6? I cited it to you several days ago. It's Christ's own words from the Sermon on the Mount. I suggest to you that if you wish to comprehend Christianity, even as an unbeliever, you start with the Sermon on the Mount.
