You haven't been listening then. The right has loathed MSM coverage of the war from start, saying that the MSM has steadfastly portrayed the most negative picture possible from Iraq, passed along insurgent propaganda with greater credence than they give to the US military, and constantly portrayed US troops as either victims or perpetrators of crimes, with hardly any mention of what missions they were doing or when they did anything well. There have been some Medals of Honor awarded in Iraq. The highest miliary honor. Did you read about them? Do you know what they were given for?ow the failure of the war and the huge deficit spending that has occured has led the MSM to become rightfully critical. Hate to tell you, but the war has not failed - unless the Americans run away. The fight against AQ in Anbar is being won - the military sources agree that the Sunni tribes are turning against AQ in large numbers. Not that you will see it reported, the few MSM reporters are in Baghdad hotels. Last time I looked there were 9 American embeds in all of Iraq. There is an incipient civil war that may or may not be headed off. Arab political imcompetence is huge and the Iraqis are no exception. Still, the jury is out on that one if the Americans persevere. If they run, the Shia will expel the Sunnis in a bloodbath.Again, I have to ask you to tell me what are the accomplishments of this administration? The chief accomplishment of this Administration is to face facts and fight our enemies, instead of playing kick the can down the road, which was the Clinton foreign policy. You look at any rogue state or nonstate actor: North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Hizbullah, Al Qaeda - they all got stronger during Clinton's eight years and decided that America was a paper tiger from whom they had little to fear. Out of that came 9/11. Out of that came North Korean nukes. Out of that came Iran's soon-to-be nukes. Edit: one exception: Serbia. That war conducted from 30000 feet, with no UN approval but which the left seemed to like anyway. We are still patrolling Bosnia and Kosovo ten years later, and still taking casualties too.
