We went through Deadwood in November a few years back, in a blinding snowstorm that started shortly after we left Mount Rushmore. It was dark long before we inched along through the snow down the canyons into town. The streets were deserted.

It was creepy. I half expected to see Wild Bill Hickok stagger out of a saloon with a bloody hand of aces and eights.

That looks like just the kind of town I would love to walk around in for a day or two. I love the setting.........didn't know it was so green around there. I always think of flat farm land and brown prairie grass when I think of SD.

I hope we can make it to that part of our country some day. And looking forward to a report.

In a way it reminds me a little of Wallace Id.
