Yeah, I read that. But then I thought - how is the Israeli plane going to get to the Gulf of Oman in order to fly over Oman and the UAE in the first place? There's Egypt/Jordan/Syria/Lebanon sort of in the way. Does Israel have aircraft carriers? And Qatari airspace? What good is that? The place is surrounded by Saudi Arabia and water. I guess that means the Israeli plane could land there after attacking Iran, but how it gets to Iran in the first place is the question.

Absolutely they would, get Israel to hit Iran and watch Iran hit Israel. They learned all from Israel, let someone else do your dirty work.

The israelis need to think more strategically about iran. Who is the real threat to israel? Its the sunni arab states with a Paki-bomb or other wmds before its iran imho. Some of the olive branches from iran last week pertained to the holocaust deniers and sun has always thought there was a deal to be made between persia and the jews. If you try to think like a persian, perhaps it is they who feel surrounded by sunni arabas and paks. They may be as paranoid as we are about wmds being used on their shiaa heretic state. Our short term goal should be to try to recreate the US/Israel/Turkey/Iran strategic relationship that existed when the shah was in power. Also this i a way to control the imperial appetite of the New-USSR. And for the mideast without iran and ahmadijad spewing hate and terror tactics, the arabs and the jews will have to settle or enter the final leg a fight to the finish which the arabs will lose and the jews will not win if their objectives are a peaceful non-nuclear outcome. I have asked sun to comment on some of these idea and so far he has not taken me up on it. I guess some of the above works against some of his left wing notions. I will ask you to consider this as well and see if this could become an alternative to neocon orthodoxy here and in israel.
