Michael, I couldn't agree more with you. And ditto that for the US and Iran....we need to think more strategically, too.

When I look at Iran, I see a resource rich country that is inching toward a more democratic and less fundamentalist social structure. Russian, China, Shell Oil are forming economic partnerships that are shutting us out with regard to those resources.

Maybe this is what has the Bush admin. so determined to bait that idiot MA???? Perhaps the Bushies are angry over the missed opportunities that their "axis of evil" posture has wrought??

As things stand, the real threat to Israel is the large country that is about to get nukes that keeps proclaiming that Israel must be wiped off the map.

Should there be a regime change in Iran - and I know most Iranians don't like their government - then it could be a different ballgame. But now the outcome depends on the decisions of a very few men, most of them apocalyptic zealots at that.
