if the govt reneged - and it is an elected govt - it implies the people voted for their elected folks to renege. it does not imply that democracy - the process of voting your politicians etc is not in place.

The new government reneged on all its signed agreements. That's the part the west didn't like.

Both sides reneged on their various signed agreements. Nobody cut off Israel from anything. Everybody cut off the Palestinians from everything. Doesn't seem very fair.
