Rat you got to be careful. You are sounding like a guy who will support the easy fights not the hard ones, the short ones not the long ones and the successful ones and not the failures. But you cant know these things in advance.

nicely put, mike

So now michael97123 is supporting failure? Gee. Why should people support failure?

What is the use of supporting failure? I support success. It's called accountability. Supporting failure does nothing for anyone. It excuses laziness and incompetence.

Why on God's green earth would you want to support that?

Your head is screwed on backwards.

Nadine's agenda is to callously get other people to do her dirty work. If others fight and die for HER purposes, she doesn't give one whit. I call that pure evil.

"...successful ones and not the failures."
I do my best to stop the failures before they happen.I didn't have 20/20 hindsight on Iraq; I had 100/100 foresight. Happens sometimes. Play empire building games and learn strategic thinking. Some resources are worth fighting for, some aren't. Our national interests are about getting the resources. If Sudan had 2 zeros after the 1 in their reserves, they would be in our national interest. If there wasn't oil in the ME, we really wouldn't be paying a lot of attention to Israel. Going all the back to being a pawn in the cold war.
Some wars are winnable, some aren't. Iraq isn't , Iran won't be (unless we undertake to kill everybody. Afghanistan should have been. Now, who knows? We might lose 2 wars at the same time. And really, Pakistan is the most dangerous.

Personally, I'm at the point where I just say "That's nice", about all the destruction going on worldwide as long we don't cause it, events that aren't paid for sometimes with my tax dollars, and doesn't reflect on the reputation of my country. Tsuanmi? Yeah. Bird flu? Overtime. Volcanos killing people. Yup. Cuz it's gonna happen. I expect to see a lot of death worldwide, cuz we have exceeded the carrying capacity of the old mudball. As long as it ain't things like a US war, I'm now pretty immune to it all. Cuz I have to deal with death a lot. Katrina? That was my country, and my fellow citizens and the money and relief wasn't there, so I went to help.

My hunch is we are gonna end up with half the planetary population by the end of the century. This is just one more. We can't be the lifeboat; can't fit 6 bil in North America.
