Ok, so now we have to add reading comprehension to your inability to understand math concepts. The article doesn't claim the percentage went up, clearly that didn't happen. It does claim the difference in fuel used for the 15000 miles is higher with the new figures than with the old. Which clearly is the case.

You spend too much time in truthiness land. True using reality instead of spinning things all the time.
