Hi Mike, Wish I'd gone as defensive as you. A tough two weeks. I have gone from up over 7.2% on the year to a little over flat. Very discouraging given all the hours of research. When, (or if<g) you want to invest any sidelined cash you might look at ULBI (new 4 yr low with a new contract announced today) Not sure why they are getting hammered ..but believe strongly they'll turn their corner before long and entry here will look good. I continue adding, and now have 9.12 cost. (but don't like having so much of it.. (hey...my reasoning sounds suspiciously like the 2000 dot-com days when I frittered away 35% of my savings<g) My biggest hldg, OPTN, is starting to move..as they were just added to the S&P 600 yesterday. Also have a position in SMTX that I've had to hold for mos. Their new earnings, just out, were very fine..and they were up 24% at one time today. Did I sell for top profits...heck no!<lol>..and they fell off to up only 12% end of day. But, still, Mike, you might want to look at this little co. They have set a nice 'stage for a run imo. Everything else is horrible: (bio tech/precious metals/ agri/ uranium / alternative energy / water/ etc.etc.) But for some big gains on one or two hldgs I would be taking more damage to my Ira acct. (and getting closer to a pull the plug sentimentality.) But I don't think you can compare 2000's dot-coms and tech exuberance/over-valuations to todays problems...Other issues are at work right now; perhaps equally dangerous, but different.) On fun stuff, how about those Van Halen regulars?.. blowing off their being inducted into the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame" the other night? What bozos - Eddie/ Alex /& David Lee Roth. Their tantrums and absence at the Awards took something away from everyone else's big night. It's so uncool. I had to grow up in Cleveland..and it's hard enough living with the sad fact that inductees don't really want to go to Cleveland for their awards (but will happily go to New York) But for the winners to not show at all? geezz...who are these people? (oh oh <bg ... Hope that you & all are well Craig (ps- at judyhenskefansite.com you can see some fun stuff on our latest Rhino compilation just out. I'd send you one gratis but Rhino will not give us many.., or worse, won't let us buy at cost and sell on our own web-site. They told me this sad news after I worked my tail off on the production of this box-set.. hmmmm... record companies screwing artists.. there's an old sad song.<g
