Well, I'm speaking mainly for myself. And I don't have any representative survey, but from what I read the objections to the existence to the state of Israel are based on the displacement of various indigenous non-Jewish people, the ongoing military conflict, and Jerusalem. Much of it comes down to taking a place with many groups, and declaring it the homeland for the Jews. The members of the non-Jewish groups object - it's not rocket science.Every place on earth has been fought over and changed hands hundreds of times. Every place. It's only for Israel that it's an unforgivable sin. No, in other places the victor destroyed or neutralized the opponent, or they kept fighting. The problem is that Israel hasn't won their fight yet. Until some side "wins" the battle usually goes on and on. This is no unforgiveable sin - it's just a sign that the war for Israel is not over. They have to either convince 250 million Muslim Arabs to love them, or kill the Arabs. Hmmmm. As there is no sign of love appearing soon, as an outsider my inclination is to not choose one side, and instead oppose the whole plan. Rather than divide diverse peoples, and fight FOREVER, or fight until one side exterminates the other, encourage them to unite and live together. And if the would-be secessionists had been universally treated as third class citizens, subject to arbitrary rape and pillage, would it make a difference to you? More importantly, if they were not just a new religion, but an old nation, would it make a difference to you? You seem to have real problems with the concept of the Jewish people. Sure, I would object if the secessionists had been universally treated as 3rd class citizens. And I highly doubt your assessment of the situation is accurate. 3rd class citizens don't generally win wars with the 1st class citizens. They lose them. What problems do I have with Jewish people? There are loads of them all over America living as equals with their non-Jewish neighbors. You're again confusing objections to Israel with a view of Judaeism and Jews. I can think China should not be in Tibet, and still love the Chinese. You see the difference?Israel is a nation. They have proved it - they had the idea, they built it and they defended it. Agreed. Thanks for once for separating the discussion of Israelis with the discussion of Jews.
