I see a lot of things like that, where people basically make up stuff, then pretend the stuff is real, and jump up and down about how terrible the made up stuff is. Or they make up stuff for someone else, and even when there is clear evidence that the made up stuff is crap, it never sinks in. I think you've reached that kind of impasse here.

Some folks recently claimed Maher wished the Veep dead, which he never did. He said he thought if Cheney was dead, a lot of other people wouldn't be- but that's not a wish. That's just a statement. There was no wish in it. That's like saying, if Johnson had died in office, the Vietnam war wouldn't have escalated. That's not a wish about Johnson, at the most it might be an incorrect statement What is the headline in the NYPost though?

nypost.com

ROFL

so he "fudged" a wish that never exited. Yeah. It's like that. Cracks me up.

"Iraq needed no yellowcake"

Iraq already had tons of yellowcake laying around piled up outside from their nuclear program prior to the first Gulf War. They weren't doing anything with it, and Bush KNEW this..

Even an utter moron should understand that it's not an either/or finding. The fact that Cheney's smear information reached Armitage and he let it slip out doesn't mean that Rove, Libby, Fleischer and others didn't also "out" her.

You can't "out" someone when most of Georgetown already knows who she is, dope. It's called "public knowledge.". May I remind you that when the op-ed first came out, Andrea Mitchel said - on TV - that Plame's employer was widely known in Washington? Is the ultra-liberal Andrea Mitchel now supposed to be part of Cheney's smear machine too?

Joe Wilson lied and insinuated a number of untruths in his NYT op-ed. The VP's office tried to push back by telling reporters their side of the story: 1) he wasn't qualified 2) his wife sent him, not Cheney 3) he was mischaracterizing his findings 4) if he had found nothing, it would be no proof because he was unqualified. As it happened, all four points were perfectly true.

What this trial has done is to make speaking to reporters a crime when done in the service of (Republican) polics.
