(For the third time) Quote from Intel's Kirk Skaugen from the audio were he officially announces a xeon server roadmap update (Feb 21): "and with the discussion today of bringing production on 45nm technology into the fourth quarter for servers" Still reporting about production rather than availability. phx.corporate-ir.net There is no word of Q3 availability in this audio. Nothing "written" about Q4 either but in the audio he gives the quote above. OK, so you are now talking about another audio from the Februari 27-March 1, 2007 Symposium where no official announcement is made at all but just a remark that the "intro" is still >= six months (2Q) away from ~march 1.

Now to get back to the original discussion: I want to know: Do you support justaview in his claim that the the large Intel Q3 price cuts are the result of the performance and availability of Penryn in Q3? As he claimed here: Message 23355160 To which I responded here: Message 23355193 which then caused you to jump in telling that "I had missed the 'reports' about Penryn in Q3". All Intel roadmaps show the availability of Penryn two quarters after the Core 2 pricecuts (which concur with the availability of the K10 in Q3) hkepc.com pc.watch.impress.co.jp No, No, No No, Just leave it, (1) I don't need to know anything.
