Look at his ban list. Anybody to the right of Hillary Clinton is banned. It's the only ban I ever got on SI.

I perssonally dont think its appropriate to talk about a thread where one is banned from, on another thread.

I'd disagree with part of that, but in tyhe main he's right.

Ironically, I think a lot of the BDS hysteria has had the effect of supressing rational criticism as Dems pander to their nutroots and Reps rally round the President who is being called a fascist and a Nazi.
YOU GOT IT! And the majority of the nation, being neither, simply becomes disgusted and doesn't bother to vote.

View from the Center should be called View from the Left of Center. Look at his ban list. Anybody to the right of Hillary Clinton is banned. It's the only ban I ever got on SI.
Wear it as an emblem of sanity.

It's kind of a metaphor for what a lot of so-called Liberals mean by "free speech" these days.
You're free to agree with them. :-)

Nadine, sometimes a person can be a carrier of disease and not even know it. I think, with respect to give and take dialogue, that might describe you.

The harm isn't in the opinions you express or the fact that they are ultra-opinions. That's fine. That creates discourse and encourages others to think harder to defend, or maybe even change, their views.

The problem is that those conversations with you don't progress to the next level.

How many times have you posted that under Saddam there were terrorist camps in Iraq?

How many times have you posted that the 68 Tet offensive in Vietnam was a "great defeat" for the NVA and the VC and, if not for liberal journalists, that defeat would have led to their ultimate defeat?

How many times have you posted that the British information on yellowcake from Niger hasn't been investigated and disproven?

How many times have you claimed that we could win hearts and minds in Iraq and eventually the war if not for the "blame America, defeatist" press.

How many times have you posted that Saddam would have (you choose) rearmed with nukes, chemicals or biologicals, cooperated with terrorists, threatened the world, threatened his neighbors etc., as if you could somehow know that, and as if we'd have had no powerful options to deal with such things had they actually become fact?

How many times, and in how many ways, have you responded to criticisms of brutal Israeli actions in the West Bank by saying, "Well, the other guys are so terrible that Israel has no choice?"

And how many times have your radical, ill supported views been debunked to the point where you had to resort to questioning the motives of the poster, changing the subject or narrowing the inquiry from the forrest to the trees?

Yet time and time again you make such statements anew, creating the need for yet another tired rehash and yet more frustration.

Since you've made your appearance here and dominated the talk, this board has markedly digressed from whatever level of civility, clarity and interest it once held.

And there's no way of stopping you. You'll continue to multiple post the same unsubstantiated, inflammatory and often silly statements and most of us will have a hard time letting those statements slide.

But, as hard as it may be, I think that when you post statements that have been thoroughly debunked the board would be well advised to simply remind you that you've already lost that debate and move on.

If we had that discipline we'd have more time and energy to discuss new issues instead of recirculating old silliness. Ed
