it has nothing to do with rightwing. if a drug store keeps them employed i expect it is because they cannot get someone to replace them. in cases where bc is refused to ring up there must be someone else as backup in the store to ring up the sale. I believe this has been tested already and as long as someone else in the store will ring up the sale then there is no discrimination.

The only reason i can think of a company keeping someone who would refuse to ring up a product they sell is because they cannot replace the person due to tight labor market. the company is prepared to offend some customers vs offend many because of lack of help.
