Was Gandhi an extremist? He certainly fits your description of being "willing to corrupt dogma or ideas to further an agenda".

I have not thought of him as an extremist who fits the description I provided you, and would not describe him that way ... primarily because I don't view him as someone who was corrupt or who sacrificed principle for an agenda. Not sure how you are doing it but I've seen every noble person in history described as evil or honorable depending on the choice of descriptors provided by the person doing the describing, so I'm sure it's doable.
