amd's own estimate in the december "happy hour" was that they would be $500M cash flow negative in '07. that was before the january and february "surprises." they haven't chosen to update their numbers as yet. i'm guessing they'll blow half their cash this year putting them south of $700M. that's why they need to net at least $1B from some offering very soon. i'm guessing it will be right after the presumed approval of outstanding share doubling at the (whenever?) stockholders meeting. gb
