I remember reading some time ago that Turkey is very much against an independent Kurdistan.....can't remember why? So much so that they amassed a massive troop presence on the border prior to our invasion in 2003. One would think that an independent Kurdistan would have more than enough revenue to accept all those refugees considering the massive oil fields that they are sitting on!
