Jonesy,
Right on! Governments absolutely SHOULD compete with one another and always strive to achive relative advantages for their citizens.

Lou Dobbs has been speaking the truth to power, hasn't he? Hope it does some good.

Iran is a nation state. His president was elected by its people. Israel is a nation state. Suharto's Indonesia was a nation-state and still is albeit no longer a dictatorship as Marcos Philippines.

South Africa Apartheid. U.S.S.R was a concoction of nation states. Sovereignty is no good.

This is the danger: a group of an ideology can "buy" nation ste and what you will have? A 1933 Germany. A 2007 Israel. A 2007 Iran.

Worse: A Soros can buy a nation-state and then he will ride for its own means. Thus the nation-state, this dangerous anachronism, must be superseded by other forms of government.

We did that before. We got rid of absolute monarchies, feudalism we need to get rid of the Hegelian nation-state.
