Democrats have to realize that bush and his peeps are true lame ducks. None of them could get elected for dog catcher. The dems will not be running against those guys in 08. They will be running against either liberal or formerly liberal eastern governators or mayors OR McCain who for the most part is an honorable pol. Neocons are out of business so why do the dems continue to fight the last war against these guys on a highly personal and partisan way, ticking off moderates and independents that would be inclined to give them a shot? If the dems keep shrieking, being negative, giving up on congressional issues, etc etc. they will pave the way for a republican victory. What looks so promising now, perhaps in a year will not look that way. Hillary is as hated as Newt so her margin for victory is slim, barak is a beginner and one misstep can do him in, edwards has his own problems now, etc. Law and order rudy, strait talk Mccain or one-wife mormon romney, may just catch on. And then there are others who might enter the fray on either side.
