I'm convinced that there is some gene in the Dem/Leftwing called the Protest Gene. It results in those afflicted thinking that Protesting is the ultimate Good. What they are protesting does not really matter.

Regarding the contenders, I'm not excited by any of them. I think that Rudy, Romney, and Hillary could all make OK Presidents, but largely because all three of them understand that the middle is important. IMO, Hillary is unelectable. McCain I used to like, but his views on Iraq will now kill him (ironically, if his views had been heeded at the start of the war things might have turned out OK). Barak is too much of a celebrity hero without sufficient resume for the job IMO. If the Dems want to win, they will need to get there act together. Of course, the Reps might auto destruct as well on Rudy, Romney & McCain.
