re: You make my point perfectly. I write a post about alternative energy, and you come back with GW. Let's forget GW...the problem is energy. People are slaughtering each other over it. The sectarian violence in iraq has among its many components, who owns what share of the oil. We invaded Iraq on presumably humanitarian grounds, when there are far greater humanitarian disasters in Africa...the reason? OIL.

Great post. <sound of hands clapping>

The greatest threat to this country is not military or "terrorist", it's economic. The oil producing countries could shut us down in a second... and our military would be worthless.

Al, > Let's forget GW...the problem is energy.

Fine. The problem is energy.

Nothing is a better, more potent, and more convenient source of energy than oil.

Now let's stop wasting our time. Turn Iraq into "New Texas."
