The concept of profit has been explained to you a few times. If it didn't take then, it won't now.

And I believe that the concept of ASP has been explained to you several times. AMD's ASPs are suffering from lack of high end parts - while the industry-wide ASPs are down. This is kind of a double-whammy for AMD now...

Selling fewer parts would not solve the problem, selling MORE parts will keep AMD close to breakeven, new core can bring back profitability, if they perform well. The new parts will benefit from current socket wins.
