H,
Close.. Just do this.

1) Just under you chart you will see a small link that says 'Linkable Version'. Click this and your chart reappears with a different URL.

2) now copy the proper URL by doing one of the following depending on your browser.

If you use Firefox/Netscape then do this:
Put your cursor on the chart image and right click.
In the context menu that comes up select Copy Image Location

If you use Internet Explorer (yech :O) then right click on the chart image and select properties. Highlight and copy the URL which is about halfway down the display and appears as two lines. Copy both lines together. Close the properties display.

3) in either case paste the copied URL into the body of your post.

4) prefix your URL with {chart}

5) strip off the http:// from the beginning of the URL

6) add {/chart} (note the '/') to the end of your URL

7) you will then have something like this
{chart}stockcharts.com/c-sc/sc?s=CLL.TO&p=D&yr=1&mn=6&dy=0&i=p20295328619&r=3791{/chart}

8) IMPORTANT.. use '[' and ']' instead of the '{' and '}' you see in this post. I used the curly ones so SI would not think I was trying to post a chart. You do not need the curly ones at all but the square ones.

This works for other images as well.

Once you get it it's like breathing. Looks like a lot of steps but not once you get it.

Also if you have typos in your post the preview may not work but the actual post will... An issue between the SI spell checker and how they parse the text before publishing it.

I use Firefox.

Anyone else that posts charts feel free to correct any omissions in my post.

Thanks
AL
