Snowshoe,
Wait a minute now, that means you are kin to that spooky Malthusian nutcase, Maurice Strong. He is the one who wants to reduce the world population to half a million people, or is it reduce the total population to just three people, that being him, George Soros and Algore? I can't remember which. We better keep an eye on you. <grin>

You need to get both books, she is there. From the Seagrave book page 252:

"One night, they almost lost Anna Louise Strong when she wandered off by herself. Borodin and the others searched, but decided she was lost for good. Just before noon they sighted a speck in the distance. Purely by chance, she had walked in the route of thier journey. When they pulled up beside her she was weeping in relief.
"Why on earth did you go off?" they asked.
"I got so cold so I walked" she mumbled, tears streaming down her cheeks.

Seagrave cites the Sheean book repeatedly, for Sheean was actually there in person. Sheean is such a great writer, they just don't make them like him any more.

I like Seagrave too. He is a sort of conspiracist and comes at his work, all of it on East Asian topics, that things on the surface are not what they seem. In his "Marcos Dynasty" he focuses heavily on gold and subterranean money flows around the world. He makes some fantastic claims about gold and some particular claims about certain excavations that the Marcos martial law regime carried out digging for buried gold at several sites around Manila. Years ago, when I lived there I did some on site research and discovered that everything Seagrave said was true.
