long says his kids curve starts at the batters head. Yes I'd be in the dirt. And yes I've backed out or spun and ducked only to have a strike called. Talk about feel like a fool.

We were dorking around with the pitching machine last summer at the driving range. It's a driving range and batting station and mini putt and other things. Anyhow we cranked some out at 90 and knowing it's leaving the machine I couldn't catch up. Not sure I would have at 18 but surely didn't at 47. I handled 80 ok but that extra 10 was too much. Of course when I say I handled 80 keep in mind that I know exactly where the ball is going to cross the plate, unlike a live pitcher.
