But Iran is not attacking America, it is trying to solidify its position in Iraq, which makes complete sense, since it is a neighbor of Iraq. You can argue that after invading Iraq and occupying it, the influence of Iran in the civil war in Iraq is an "attack" on America, but I think that's a stupid position to take. I don't expect you to agree with me

I think you are going to have problems convincing a lot of people that attacking and killing American soldiers is not an attack on America.

Did Iran the US when they took the embassy ? What would qualify as an attack in your mind ?
