Russia will need to deal with all those former captured nations which have accounts they want settle with Russia. Notice how some of the countries - Poland, Chezk Republic - will go for anything, even George W Bush's proposals to make life difficult for Russia.

Maybe China remembers when the Russians were planning to launch a nuclear attack on China.

The Swedes remember all those Russian submarine probes of Swedish defenses. There is some talk of Sweden coordinating or joining with NATO.

Is that due to George W being a charming fellow ?

The Georgians, Armenians, Azerbijanins, etc. all love Russian intervention in their affairs, right ?

Russia ran an Evil Empire called the USSR.

Payback will go on for a generation.

How the EU can destroy Russia :

Just allow

1) Unlimited immigration of any ethnic Russian 18 to 40 with a college degree, with any minor childern.

AND

2) Allow immigration of any literate ethnic Russian 18 to 30 without children or a criminal record.

********

The UK thought they would get about 13,000 people from Poland, they have about 300,000. in about 6 years.

If the whole EU could get about 600,000 a year for about 10 years, the Russians would have turn out the lights ;-)

"<<no idea what "accounts" Russia, Venezuela, or Cuba would want to "settle" with "the US". Can you be more specific?>>

Dissolution of USSR
Interference in domestic politics in order to pilfer resources
Bay of Oinks

Pattern of behavior stuff"

Bay of oinks predated the cultural revolution, Senor Castro has not been very kind to anyone objecting to his rule either. The pilfering of resources has actually been exceeded in many ways by local LATAM companies. United Fruit gave up most of it's holdings years ago. Many LATAM countries have been quite efficient of expropriating properties and assets from not only Norte Americanos but from rivals and other LATAM countries (Witness the most recent with Bolivia, Natural Gas, and Argentinian and Brazilian companies..)
