And let's not let this thread disintegrate into what doesn't work....let's work hard enough here to tell of what does work. Political conversation here is useless as none of it will enable us to live longer or better or without pain. Shootie

I am afraid to Stat ins and I take that new pill CADUET which is a combo of Limiter..Cholesterol RX and Norvasc.. Blood pressure. My lower level Cholesterol is great but the high one is 221 and the nurse practitioner keeps me on these two drugs. Does anyone have alternative meds for Cholesterol .. I worry about stopping the Blood Pressure one as I have this type A personality and my pressure was 220 a few years ago when I awoke with a headache every morning not knowing it was BP.. A trip to the ER for a bug bite that swelled so badly the discovery was made about the pressure. Ever since then I have been on BP meds and monitored the pressure which is fine. Cannot change my personality at this juncture so BP medication will probably have to stay but the Sta tins are dangerous I know... Thanks for any suggestions from your experience.
