I don't care about Hillary's position on the Iraq War. The Democrats have blood on their hands for the Iraq military conflict and the Viet Nam military conflict, because they voted to authorize both bloodbaths. The Constitution is very clear that the power to declare war is reserved for Congress, not the President, not the Supreme Court, not the Joint Chiefs of Staff (which did not exist in the 18th century), but with Congress. Can't you read? You are ignoring this important fact. The last time we declared war was against Germany to enter WW2 in after being attacked by Japan. Because politicians ignore this constitutional mandate, does not make it any less unconstitutional to do so. It's just that excusers for power like yourself make any excuse and rationalization to ignore what the Constitution says regarding taking the nation to war. The founding fathers (whom you and your ilk don't care about apparently) understood that war making could easily be abused by the power hungry and wanted the power to rest in the hands of many in Congress. Their intent from their writings at the time regarding warning of foreign engagements was clear. Too bad their are always statist persons who will ignore constitutional authority and rationalize to beat the war drum. Undeclared wars that the U.S. engages in are unconstitutional. Simple as that. If anyone wonders how Hitler hoodwinked so many Germans into giving up their constitutional rights and engaging in an insane war, you have met the mentality that is ready and willing to ignore constitutional authority and engage in dubious wars.
