I actually thought the same thing about the cash. You could go short $100 all cash and buy it back whenever, and still have your $100!

In fact, that reminds me of something. We left out commissions on shorting. You should add in a rule to the header that when you cover a short, you pay 1% commission on the amount. That way closing out a short position has the same transaction cost as selling a stock.
