An ex-significant other of mine got diagnosed with it at 33, had a mastectomy about 15 years ago, still doing fine.

Amazing thing was we hadn't spoken in ten months or so when I got an impulse out of nowhere to have a dozen roses delivered to her on the other side of the country. They were delivered on the day she got home from the hospital.

first of all I would like to thank everyone for sharing their very personal information with me - to reach out and give such to person you know only from this website and not in 3d is generous and kind - know that whatever you have or do share with me stays only with me

cancer has touched so many lives - I think that is why people encourage, share and support other people - it turns your life upside down

every case is different, every person unique - I guess I wanted information because the two doctors she has seen have vastly different treatment programs - I think one is more focused on trying to save the breast - I just want my friend to be able to make the best decision for her - she has her nose on the computer night and day trying to research all the options, all the outcomes

I've known her for decades - there is a group of 5 girls 'the girls' going back again for decades - she and I are the 'artsy' ones - we've traveled together, do art exhibits - been together through thick and thin

I will support the decision she makes and try and help her and her family in any way I can

Suma, I've done the walk for cancer several times for the friend I lost - and yes, you find solace there with the survivors there are tens of thousands survival stories

she and I promised we will maintain a positive attitude

I send her a joke every day - she loves a good laugh

and

I love her
