The eco nuts are not going to be happy until our economy is crippled while China just keeps chugging along polluting at will.

that will cost lives and money and China will just pollute the hell out of the world. And you can't stop them, because they don't care about the Greens

Maybe they will rule against China too and we'll all be saved.

U.S. court rules against Bush in global warming case

No, the USSC ruled against the American public. Let's take a little trip along with Alice through the looking glass..

"Today the nation's highest court has set the White House straight. Carbon dioxide is an air pollutant, and the Clean Air Act gives EPA the power to start cutting the pollution from new vehicles that is wreaking havoc with our climate," said David Doniger of the Natural Resources Defense Council.

CO2 is produced by every living creature that exhales. CO2 occurs naturally in the atmosphere and is essential for life. CO2 is also plant food. So, the court says that CO2 is pollution? Welcome to Wonderland.

And as we enter Wonderland, we see vehicles and power plants that emit no CO2. What, they don't yet exist in any meaningful or economic numbers and won't for decades to come? Doesn't matter, mandate 'em anyway.

Ah, but some future (far future) vehicles will run on hydrogen, which emits only water vapor. Wait a minute, water vapor is also a greenhouse gas. Can't have that!!

So it's back to riding horses.. Uh oh, horses, along with other ungulates (cows, sheep, etc) belch and fart methane, a much more powerful greenhouse gas than CO2. Well, Alice, guess we'll just have to walk, and give up steak dinners and wool sweaters as well.

I don't think people are going to much like living in the greenie's Wonderland utopia that's approaching. The jaws of a painful trap are starting to close. Real energy shortages on one side and econut induced shortages on the other means that hard times are a comin', IMO.

It will be interesting to see what happens when people start to realize that you can have Wonderland or Western Civilization, but you can't have both. Go ask Alice, I think she'll know...
