I too have the ipod with Bose dock. Wonderful sound. I will listen to almost anything and my ipod shows it. Big Band, Bocelli, older country and older rock. My XM radio seems to vary from the 40's channel to the classic country or 50's channel. The stuff most of my friends want to listen too I consider noise and prefer silence which is my choice if given the option:)

Most of my friends aren't crazy about my music either, so I'll mix it in so I get a chance to hear it. I almost exclusively use an iPod now when listening to music. I have a Bose dock that is as good as it gets for the house and a Belkin dock in the car. Did you ever get the car dock to work properly, without interference?
