JF, > It's not light bulbs that last 7 times longer and save EVERYBODY money and limit the need for new electrical plants which saves money and lowers taxes. (Confession: I used to be in the industry).

Then tell me what kind of bulbs I use to replace the clear glass "flame bulbs" of a dining room chandelier.

Or those of a bathroom vanity, which right now use the clear glass spherical kind.

Or old classic lamps where only the old pear-shaped bulbs will fit.

I'm already replacing existing incandescent bulbs with the fluorescent kind wherever I can, but the main difference is that I get to make that decision and not some nag in the government with a severe case of righteous indignation.

> BTW I smoke, and I don't give a crap if you hate the smell. Get out of my space if you don't like it.

Go ahead and support the ban on light bulbs, hypocrite. I'll support those who think we should ban smoking altogether because it burdens the health care system with higher costs.

Be well, Mr. Fowler!
