Tumeric or Haldi as it is known in Indo subcontinent is widely used for all types of ailments.. Personally, I have only tried it few times when I was younger.. indiaparenting.com earthclinic.com medindia.net

it sounds like anything herbal will be an issue with this doctor - although I can't see any harm in a tea or garlic [as it is peeled] - I'll have to see her list [she is emailing to me if she remembers - she has so much on her mind] she will be having hormonal treatment after the radiation, but I know if it is tamoxifen there will be an issue her mom had breast cancer about 15 years ago - lumpectomy - they put her on tamoxifen for several years - she developed osteoporosis, which does run in the family [fair skinned redheads] - the mother broke her hip and lost 6 inches in height - my friend found out tamoxifen can cause and exaggerate osteoporosis and felt they had kept her mother on it much too long - I'm not sure she will take it if it is recommended there is so damn much research to do - so much has to be looked into - we do have time for some of it - yet some decisions have to be made right now we chatted yesterday for about an hour - emailing different web sites and studies as we spoke - did some giggling too, she laughs easily and has a great infectious laugh her spirits are good SI has been a good resource - the thread and SI'ers for info - the 'laughter is the best med' thread for her daily jokes I can't say it enough - a deep heartfelt thank you for everyone here
