It looks like that's what will happen. The Dems will say, "We gave you the funds, and you veto'd the bill. The American people will support the Dems.

Bush just doesn't get that Americans want this war DONE with, OVER. It was at best a mistake to start with, and has been totally screwed up ever since. It's the chimp Nero's failed legacy. His years of mulligans are through.

I know the Dems will try to portray that way, but everyone knows why Bush wants to veto the bill. He wants funding without an expiration date.


Given that the war is going so badly, isn't that a bit willful on his part?
