I wondered whether it was just talking down the competition. But I haven't seen anyone using SnapTrack or talking it up. For all I know it's almost dead.

I don't think it was just talking SnapTrack down. I spent years listening to all sorts of objections about everything as a salesman and one gets to know quite well what's legitimate and what's not.

I'd have thought SnapTrack would be faster for more precision than GPS-only systems. Especially in places with tall buildings and limited GPS availability.

Right. I've been using the Garmin turn by turn instructions on my Sprint EVDO phone and it works great. Not sure what the beef is?
