Think about how much has changed even within the last 40 years. Women have entered the workforce in droves, they are now routinely CEOs, CFOs, Congresspeople, heads of this and the other thing. It used to be national news if a woman was a cop or a lineman or a fire fighter and now it's old hat. In nature, it's the male who is all gussied up and now men are becoming more gussied up as women become more picky. Things are changing all the time but there are still throwbacks to an earlier era from time to time. IMO as long as women can make their own way in the world -- usually by becoming educated and now having children at an early age -- things will continue to improve. Besides, the world is too small to have it ruled by tons of outdated testosterone.

Oh so right on Euterpe.... It used to upset me terribly when Janet Reno was denigrated because of her looks... It came along with the territory and WACO which was a disaster for which she stood up and said the buck stops here. I have friends who have known the Reno family for year and Janet and her mother were such good people and thoroughly into the environment particularly the Everglades which was being polluted to the extinction of birds and other species. Then lately I have heard Hillary as well as those on that list you posted. Turn about is fair play so women should starte poking fun at men. Imus is a sight... for example. BUT, they don't to my knowledge... Fairer species I guess.
