I understand your point, but if you want retribution, then let's cut all blacks a check and get it over with.

OK.

Otherwise, I don't see how racism is going to end racism. Do we cut women a check too?

Yup.

Any other groups?

Yeah, the homos get a check as well.

How about us poor boys born in Arkansas?

We're raising your taxes to pay for all these checks!

It's not just about retribution. It's about fixing a broken system. Making sure that more blacks get an education is a more sustainable venture than just giving away money (teach a man to fish...).

>How about us poor boys born in Arkansas? Obviously I didn't have the opportunities you and ted did being lucky enough to be born in the north and blessed with three degrees and BMWs.

Wel, I certainly don't have three degrees, but the truth is, while I've worked hard so far in life, I really have had some breaks others haven't had, and they've helped me succeed. I don't mind having my taxes go to help others, including you, go to school. In fact, I'd say that's a good thing. People who have a college education end up making more money in their lifetimes and thus pay much more in taxes in the long run, and give back to the system.

>I agree some black Americans have a hard time these days. Especially if you are a hard working, successful black man. The politicians and black leaders will attack you for selling out.

Exceptions that prove the rule...

>And then I guess while we're at it, we must address the problem of white men who are having a hard time of getting high paid jobs in the NBA. Seems almost all of the players are blacks. The NBA is stacked against them is it not? Seriously. We must start bending things in the NBA to rectify these many years of racism in the NBA.

This argument is so silly on its face... no one has ever discriminated against white people in the NBA.

>Btw, what are black people up against today that any one else is not up against?

For starters, you or I could move into 99% of neighborhoods in this country without people saying "there goes the neighborhood!"

>Bill Cosby had it pegged. And he was attacked for his position.

No, he was wrong. He's part of the aforementioned exceptions that prove the rule.

>While you're here, at what point do we stop "bending things in their favor"?

We haven't really ever started.

>Sounds like the NBA is a good place to start.

Uh... no.

Such crap........Z's mom was a teacher......hardly the lap of luxury; my dad's business starting failing several years before he died. I starting working when I was 12. You have a sob story.......I'll match you. Everything I have now I worked hard for.

Oh you poor guy.......now I understand why you begrudge the blacks and poor. Their problems don't let your whining get heard.
